MagazineMailing Services

Every piece we print is personalised, not just addressed.

A modern mailing isn't a static leaflet with a name stuck on the front. Our laser and inkjet lines print carrier sheets, letters, postcards and labels with variable data built in, so each piece can carry its own name, address, account details or offer. It's the production step that turns a clean list into something that's actually ready to post.

What our laser and inkjet lines do

Rather than running one static design and adding names afterwards, our laser and inkjet equipment prints each piece individually, pulling the content for that record from your data as it goes. That covers carrier sheets and outer wraps, letters, postcards and labels, so whatever format your mailing needs, it comes off the same variable-data process rather than a separate static print run.

This matters because it means personalisation isn't a bolt-on. It's built into the production step itself, which keeps the job simpler and reduces the chances of a mismatch between what was printed and who it was meant for.

Personalisation at scale

Variable data goes well beyond name and address. Depending on what's in your file, we can print account numbers, renewal dates, personalised offers or reference codes onto each individual piece, at the same speed as a standard run. None of this works without the data behind it being in the right shape, which is why we treat printing and data management and addressing as one continuous process rather than two separate jobs handed between suppliers.

In practice, that means the file you send us drives what gets printed. If a field is wrong or missing in the data, it'll be wrong or missing on the page, so getting the list right before it reaches the print line is worth doing properly.

Where this fits with addressing and postage

The same pass that prints your letter or label also produces the barcodes and postal impressions that An Post's systems read. Get this wrong, or leave it out, and a mailing that's otherwise ready to go can miss out on the rate it should qualify for. Producing it correctly, on every piece, as standard, is part of why our An Post sortation and postage savings service is able to deliver the discount it promises.

In other words, printing isn't the last step before postage, it's the step that makes the postage saving possible in the first place.

Formats and print quality

We run carrier sheets, letters, postcards and labels through the same variable-data process, so you're not choosing between personalisation and format flexibility. Whatever combination your mailing needs, we can generally run it without a separate setup for each piece type.

We're not going to quote you a spec sheet of press models or paper weights here, because the right choice depends on your job. Tell us what you're mailing and what it needs to survive the post, and we'll recommend a format and finish that actually suits it.

Frequently asked questions

Both let us print variable data onto each individual piece rather than running one static design. Which one suits your job depends on the format, the finish you need and the volume involved, so tell us what you're mailing and we'll recommend the right process rather than making you choose blind.
